JAMMU: Dr. Sonali Sharma, daughter of Kuldeep Raj Sharma and Vaishno Sharma, resident of Barui Akhnoor has been declared qualified for the award of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Degree in Economics by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU).Mrs. Sharma worked on the topic, titled “Asian Agricultural Productivity and Efficiency Analysis: An Empirical Exploration,” under the supervision of Dr. Kakali Majumdar, Faculty, School of Economics, SMVDU, Katra. Sonali has published research articles indexed in reputable journals. She has presented numerous research papers in international and national conferences. Additionally, Ms. Sharma has also worked in the ICSSR sponsored research project. Vice Chancellor, SMVDU, Prof. (Dr) RK Sinha, chaired the committee along with committee members including Dean of Faculty of Management, Dr. Supran Sharma, Head, SoE, Dr. Meenakshi and other faculty members. The candidate expressed her gratitude to the School of Economics and SMVDU, Katra for providing all the facilities and support needed to carry out the research work.
