For Blind Resident Dufresne, Free Home Repair Program Far Exceeds Expectations | Economy

WOONSOCKET — Like many elderly Woonsocket residents served by the Woonsocket Free Home Repair Program this summer, Antoinette Dufresne was overwhelmed with gratitude for the volunteer efforts that went above and beyond.

On July 18, volunteers from across the country traveled to the community, their mission to repair the homes of 22 homeowners. They stayed in town until July 22, painting, fixing patios, weathering homes, and many other tasks, all for free.
