IUB and KTO Organize Conference on Islamic Economics

Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB), in collaboration with KTO Karatay University of Turkey, organized an international online conference on Islamic Economics and Finance.

The conference featured 15 parallel sessions in which presenters from Islamia University Bahawalpur, IIUM Malaysia, Sakarya University Turkey, Bursa Teknik University, Sains Islam University and other scholars of international renown shared their research contributions. Dr. Huma Nawaz from IUB Bahawalnagar Campus and Dr. Areeba Khan from IBMAS, BJC, Bahawalpur were the session moderators at Islamia University Bahawalpur.

Sessions were streamed live to sub-campuses and on YouTube simultaneously. Meanwhile, the social and educational communities paid tribute to the educational services of Vice-Chancellor Engr. Teacher. Dr Athar Mahboob for South Punjab. Engineer Prof. Athar Mahboob was appointed Vice Chancellor of Khawaja Farid Rahim Yar Khan University of Engineering and Information Technology on September 2, 2015.

The then Chief Minister Punjab Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif assigned the task of establishing a cutting-edge engineering university in a remote district like Rahim Yar Khan, which he completed in a short period of three years in according to his God-given abilities. . The then Chief Minister of Punjab inaugurated the Khawaja Farid Rahim Yar Khan University of Engineering and Information Technology on May 5, 2018.
