PJSC Sberbank: First economic hackathon organized with the support of Sber on


The first economic hackathon called The Green Economy, which has been held in the past two months, has ended. Its mission is to create a platform that brings together young people, businesses and government to work together on the digital economy. The project received support from the Federal Tax Service, the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, Sberbank and other companies.

The organizers received a total of over 750 entries and selected 66 top candidates for further participation. In the end, the teams presented the experts with their development concepts for the regulation of the digital economy in 11 areas. The main topics of the project were entrepreneurship in the digital age, sharing economy, business ecosystems, biotechnology, AI, remote working, blogging and new media, etc. Throughout the hackathon, the teams were supported by mentors from the research community, businesses and government agencies. This common working format allowed each team to work out its topics, come up with global solutions and set the stage for working group discussions at top universities.

Sergey Savelyev, project director of the Strategy Development and Implementation Department of Sberx, was the mentor of one of the teams, which developed proposals for the regulation of ecosystems in the Russian Federation after analyzing the applicability of international practices. After that, the team prepared a report with its analysis and its main findings and proposals for the development of ecosystem regulation.
